ARDA

The Association of Religion Data Archives (theARDA.com) provides free access to the highest quality information and data on American and international religion. The ARDA offers instant access to a rich archive of more than 1,300 data collections, as well as an abundance of other resources for teachers, researchers, and local congregations. The online tools include interactive historical timelines, national profiles for virtually all nations, detailed information on hundreds of religious groups, church membership maps and reports, GIS mapping, QuickStats, QuickLists, and many options for exploring the data collections. In addition, the ARDA offers instructional guides and learning modules for teachers, GIS guides for congregational planners, and columns from the Religion News Service highlighting new research. Many of these resources are now catalogued and available as downloadable MARC records for use in library catalogs.

Thanks to the generous support of the Lilly Endowment, the John Templeton Foundation, the Pennsylvania State University, Chapman University, and Indiana University-Purdue University, all services and resources are free of charge.
